Welcome To Department of Social Work
Social Work is a form of professional service to people, comprising a composite of knowledge and skills with the aim of assisting an individual to achieve a standard of life in harmony with the individual and community wishes. The Department of Social Work had its beginning in 2020 with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. Department aims at providing quality education in Social Work through guided supervision and theory oriented field practicum. Department looks towards the
integration of Social Work with Participatory Community Programs in and around the campus and also in Community Development activities. Beyond an academic degree, BSW provides opportunities for the students to develop interpersonal skills, self-esteem and human values and mould them as responsible citizens. The programme aims to mould socially committed and professionally competent young social workers.
