B.Com Finance and Taxation is an Undergraduate Commerce degree with a specialization in Taxation and Finance. With a strong foundation in commerce subjects as well as in Financial Services and Income Taxes,GST etc.This dynamic curriculum design prepares the students to adapt to the demand and face challenges of today’s world. The course lays strong emphasis on commerce and related subjects.This course is in great demand today, as it offers unlimited job opportunities in banks and in the world of business

ELIGIBILITY

Any candidate who passed the Plus Two from Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board or Pre-Degree of M G University, Kottayam or that of any other recognized University or Examination Board in any State, recognised as equivalent to the Plus Two, Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board with not less than 40% marks in aggregate is eligible for the admission.

However, SC/ST, OBC and other eligible communities shall be given relaxation as per the M G University Rules and Guidelines.

Program Structure


The duration of B.Com (Finance & Taxation) program is three academic years with six semesters. Total number of courses for the whole B.Com program is 34. It is divided into four courses namely:

  • Optional courses : 4
  • Open courses : 1
  • Complementary Courses : 2
