SANJO BHAVAN SILVER JUBILEE MEMORIAL LIBRARY


A library is a collection of books, and possibly other materials and media, which is accessible for use by its members and members of allied institutions. Libraries provide physical (hard copies) or digital (soft copies) materials. The Sanjo College Library was started in 2013 by Sanjo Charitable and Educational Trust under the supervision of the St. Joseph’s Province of CST Fathers, Rajakkad P.O., Mullakkanam, Idukki. The Library, from its infancy, has taken keen initiatives and attention to develop to modern lines in its activities and services.

The Sanjo College Library is a fully automated system using the open-source software KOHA for the in-house management. This library has a collection of more than 20 Journals, 4800 Books, and 18 Magazines. The library also provides old copies of Project Reports in various subjects and old copies of Question Papers. The library has a membership in the NDLI Club.

Membership in the library is open to the following categories: Teachers, Students, and Non- Teaching Staff of the college. The Library is kept open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on all working days. The library will remain closed on public holidays. Admission to the library is restricted to members. The Library gate entry followed In/Out Management System, which is fully automated.

GENERAL RULES


  • All students must make use of the library facility to enrich their academic excellence.
  • Only enrolled students are allowed to enter the college library on the strength of a valid Identity Card, which must be produced as and when it is demanded by the library staff or college teaching Staff.
  • Complete silence must be maintained in & near the library.
  • Students should not bring Walkman or any electronic instruments and any eatables inside the Library. Using the cell phone in the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Infringement of the library rules will result in the withdrawal of the library from the student.
  • All cases of the violation of rules will be reported to the Principal for suitable action.
  • In case of any difficulty readers can approach the Librarian.
  • Co- operation of the students is earnestly sought in observing the rules.
